b*tch

I am about 99% sure that Teapot called Phoebe a b*tch this morning.

I put her in time out, she said it three more times, each garnering her a time out, and I've not heard it since.

Ah, foster care...

I *will* say that I had to leave the room after I said, "Teapot, did you just call Phoebe a b*tch?" She responded, all excited, "Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!" like I would be really proud of her.

I walked around the corner and giggled to myself.

Oh wow and I thought I had it bad when Joey yelled "I hate you!" at me.

Unfortunately I have to admit that most of the bad words my kids have picked up have come from me! They haven't said anything terrible yet, but a couple of things that I know they heard from me first!

Does she really know it's bad or does she just see 'the reaction and keep doing it?' I had a day care girl one time keep saying 'stupid' she said it over and over finally she said to me "did you hear me?" I said 'Yes I did are you supposed to be saying that word?" she said 'NO my mom said NO" then I said 'well maybe you need to stop saying it then.' I never heard it again. She was looking for a 'reaction from me'. Just a thought.

Our twins' favorite word was the 'f' word when they first moved in with us. They only knew that and 'no' so I couldn't blame them. It made for some awkward moments with strangers trying to be friendly...Hi there little boy... F*ck! And teachers at church...it sort of sounded like he was saying the 'f' word today...yeah sorry about that. It took some time but we eventually increased their vocabulary!
